Objective
This lab will give you the opportunity to practice and extend your network troubleshooting skills.

Instructions
Below is a diagram of an enterprise network.
There are some network problems, as detailed below.
Read the text and then try to work out the problems.
You can download a Packet Tracer file of the current, broken network.
Draw your own diagram to help you work out the problems.

The network problem

This network is running OSPF. Unfortunately the network engineer has become disgruntled with his employer and has disabled much of the network before being fired.

Before he left, he setup a web server running pornographic pages on the network and a junior engineer has already set some security
on the Aukland and Delhi routers to prevent users on their LANs from reaching the website. There is no security on the London router allowing users on the LAN to reach the website. The canonical name of the pornographic web site is www.porn.com.

Requirements
All LAN users must be able to reach the intranet server by using the canonical name engweb.info
.
No users may be able to access the server at www.porn.com.
All passwords must be changed and logged.
Please note that although the switches are not be a part of the networking problem, they should be secured using passwords and appropriate port security.

Can you repair this network?

Methodology

Begin by downloading the Packet Tracer file.

Run the file in Packet Tracer and open each router to examine its running configuration.

You should start by drawing the network using the configurations and information from Packet Tracer.

Note the network addresses for each segment and compare these to the configured addresses on the router interfaces

Check which protocols are running - remember the show commands that you have used.

You should check the workstations as well as the routers for damage.

Best Practice

For this exercise, you ought to make notes in your log book of passwords in this project.
Draw a network diagram and show all IP details
Make a note in your log book of all the errors that you have spotted and show how you have made the corrections.

Feedback
Feedback will be given when we meet next week.

Solution will be posted at the end of this week.
